A morning rise before Dawn,
The essence of a feeling of love to the one that one did live for.
The aroma of the morning bliss,
Perfume of flowers, cool breeze from the cold dew, wet grass, tiny water droplets ...
Chirping birds, rustling leaves ,
In comes the one that's dressed in a beautiful attire, smiling in gaiety saying this is the day I long for...
Herself decked in sparkling jewellery, looking her amusing self says it's for him that I do.
A million prayers for her warrior's longevity, happiness and peace..
As Dawn draws she s all praises for him and here her women folks that unite in her praises and pleas to the creator for her warrior..
She eats no food nor sips a drop of water until dusk awaits for the moon to smile,
As the glow shines there she goes watching the moon lite in a net and heads to her beloved ,
As she nears tears flow down her cheeks,
Unexpressive words glances and is then offered a drink by him and here she breaks her fast .
The traditional sindhoor and the mangalsutra that says that she belongs to him and none dare near her.
A festivity of love to her man completes a day bound in life long bonding for the coming years.
This is called a Karva Chauth in India.
